Weekly Promotion Challenge: NorthAnger Abbey
Welcome to the eighth Weekly Fandom Promotion Challenge.
For the next seven days, we are hosting a drabble-a-thon where each entry is based around the chosen fandom. You will be given a set of seven daily prompts tailored to that fandom so you can write at least a 100 word drabble. There is no word limit, so by all means, go over if you like. Next Monday, we will start over with a new fandom.
Fandom Name: NorthAnger Abbey (Book)
Fandom Level: General
Pairing: Any.
A Brief Description: A Brief Description: Northanger Abbey, though not the first Jane Austen novel to be published, was the first finished, written approx. 1798-1799. It's more openly a parody of the gothic romance novels that were popular at the time. The heroine is a naive young clergyman's daughter who goes to Bath for the first time, only to fall into the society of unscrupulous fortune-hunters, and in love with the the son of a dark, old house, easily imagined to have closets simply bursting with skeletons.

Daily Prompts:
Monday - Catherine is going to Bath for the first time. What sites might draw her attention? Mood: Anticipation.
Tuesday - Catherine lets her imagination get the better of her. What would have happened had she not been merely foolish? Mood: Suspense.
Wednesday - John is determined to have her. Why on earth for? Mood: Longing.
Thursday - Mystery after mystery seems to resolve itself so unsatisfyingly, why must Catherine's world be so boringly mundane? Mood: AU Time!
Friday - General Tilney wants a wealthy daughter for his son. He's found one, move over Catherine. Mood: Fanciful Ponderings.
Saturday - The Abbey is a place of enchantment, with its Gothic style and ancient appeal. A history lesson please. Mood: Exploratory.
Sunday - We dance, we laugh, we hold hands, we marry. Catherine is stylistically her period woman. What if she were a bit more outgoing? Mood: Lost.
Reward: All participants get this lovely 'Welcome to NorthAnger Abbey' icon.
Jerry's Final Thought: Typical Jane Austen, we are given a chance to experience her world and the one she created. Catherine is typical of her time period and acts the part accordingly.
