Welcome to Elmwood State Hospital |
Outside the mutliverse sits a state of the art mental hospital, a place for so called fictional characters to go when their own world seems to be closing in on them. There's a place for everyone here, all you have to do is accept your place.
Some will be enlisted as doctors, even if they are not medically trained or certified. None of that matters here. If there is a need, the hospital will qualify the called...
Some will be taken in as patients. Their diagnosis will as varied as the people who are pulled in.
(Note: The players have free reign here. You choose your character, you can saddle him or her with any diagnosis you wish, either canon based or not. Go nuts! The game is made for crack, have fun with this!)

In modern days, there are stories of magical creatures, of mermaids and fairies and witches and more. We assume them to be legends, stories that were made up to amuse or frighten children. But what if they weren't just made up? What if once upon a time there used to be a place where all those things were real...
Fae Woods is an original concept fantasy game, inspired by several works of fantasy fiction, fairy tales, and other legends. Here, players have the chance to create original characters, or take inspiration from cultural fairy tales and put their own twist on familiar faces. What will your character make of the looming darkness? Will they choose to fight with their realm, or will they be swayed by the temptations of the dark Queen? Step into the realm of Fae Woods, and find out for yourself…

 This is the life you know very well. You live it every day. It's difficult, it's riddled with uncertainty, and it is filled with joy, love, disappointment and pain. But sometimes you have a feeling that this is not your life. It's a feeling that can't be explained, but you spend your life trying to explain it, trying to make sense of it.
Valar explores a duality embodied within each character. One version of the self exists in Orange County, living a life that seems ordinary, sounds ordinary, feels ordinary. The real self, whatever that might mean, exists only in a time and place which you are just starting to remember.
As characters grow and live and interact with each other, they embark on a journey to piece together fragments of their half-forgotten dreams. They have to come to terms with who they really are, and what this life means to them.
