THE VALAR RPG
LIKE THE ELVES, THOSE VALAR WHO CHOSE TO ENTER THE WORLD AT IT'S BEGINNING ARE BOUND TO IT UNTIL IT REACHES IT'S DESTINED END.
Valar is an AU panfandom game that seeks to explore the strong bond between characters and how it can transcend even the toughest of situations. Every character in the game has two histories. One history is their canon history, which they don't remember. Their other history is the AU one made to fit the confines of the game which they believe to be true. As each character interacts with others, especially other cast mates, they are flooded with memories of their canon history and slowly begin to realize everything they've ever thought to be true is wrong.

This game was inspired by ABC's Once Upon a Time, Season Six of LOST & BBC's Sherlock, but you do not have to be familiar with any of these shows to play in the game.
FANDOMS LOOKING FOR MORE CHARACTERS INCLUDE
LOST, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, The Silmarillion, Star Trek, A Song of Ice and Fire, Star Wars, The Vampire Diaries and others!

Brave New World [13 Mar 2012|04:41pm]
Hi!

I wanted to invite you to join an established

Mature Panfandom Role-Playing Forum.

The Story:

A madman has returned from the Afterlife, determined to complete his interrupted mission and goal—to seek revenge on those who had wronged him and eventually take over the world. Discovering a time machine known as the TARDIS (Time and Relative Dimensions in Space), this madman managed to wrest it away from its owner, intent on using it to achieve his goals. What better way than to travel back in time to change history or forward to learn from the history yet to come, satisfying both needs? Imagine the glee he felt when he discovered this amazing machine could also travel through space, opening up all sorts of possibilities… But first things first. The vast universe could wait until he had taken care of Earth.

The technology was alien and unfamiliar, borne from a knowledge not yet achieved upon this world, but would soon give him access to those things as yet unheard of to make his takeover easier. Despite his high intelligence, mistakes were made in learning how to control the great machine, and he found himself remaining in place, but that didn’t deter him from his goal. He merely revised it. Instead of going to them, he would bring those he sought to him—so much easier in the end, anyway. Once he managed to unlock the secrets of the TARDIS, the machine was rigged to be activated remotely with the push of a button. Oh the power to be able to bring anyone he wanted from anywhere in the world! From any time! Even the most insignificant person of the future could have the information he sought, and if they didn’t….well, they had just become a pawn in this chaotic game.

A chaotic game of revenge and power. Power over everyone’s life. Even the Grim Reaper had no say in this new world, since they could simply be plucked from a time before they lost their physical form. However, three days must pass before they could come back. This was known as the Law of Return, and was under the discretion of the Man in Charge. With the push of a button, a person could be brought back anytime this maniac chose. If he chose to bring them back. There were always those that weren’t worth the effort of even the push of a button.

However, things began going horribly wrong even before this new world could be brought into fruition. There's no rhyme or reason to things now: The TARDIS has begun to malfunction, upset by the toying with it, and although it's still under somewhat tentative control, it has started to pull people in randomly, without the need of orders. People not just of this world, Earth, but from all over the universe with very different abilities, and thanks to the TARDIS’ time travel capabilities, two versions of the same person along different points in their own timeline can appear. Normally a dangerous thing, but thanks to the tampering the time machine suffered, it can nullify the effects of the meeting of yourself. Even the Law of Return has been corrupted—no longer truly under any control—the TARDIS now deciding who comes back and when and if.

The only thing it can’t nullify is the insanity now plaguing this world. A world that had suffered purges and mass killings, false imprisonment and torture of its citizens. Torture that could lead to death—again and again and again…. Finally into this madness came the realization to stop. That all the pain and revenge and retaliation weren’t worth the price that would have to be paid. What was the point in mass destruction when those who had become important to him could be caught in the slaughter with no guarantee of ever coming back thanks to him? The madman declared a truce, appointing the heads of those who had once opposed him to a council to help maintain the truce as he stepped down and dropped out of sight, never to be heard from again….

This is the world you find yourself in. A world that had been brought to the brink of insanity, only to appear to be snatched back at the last minute. Yet the madness continues. The TARDIS is still unstable, the Law of Return still corrupted, those in the seat of power vying for control over everything, yet getting nowhere, while the one who started it all starts to fade from memory as those who find themselves confined to this world try to lead normal lives while hoping to one day return to theirs.

Fae Woods: A Fantasy Game [13 Mar 2012|06:06pm]

modsrpgooclines

In modern days, there are stories of magical creatures, of mermaids and fairies and witches and more. We assume them to be legends, stories that were made up to amuse or frighten children. But what if they weren't just made up? What if once upon a time there used to be a place where all those things were real...

Fae Woods is an original concept fantasy game, inspired by several works of fantasy fiction, fairy tales, and other legends. Here, players have the chance to create original characters, or take inspiration from cultural fairy tales and put their own twist on familiar faces. What will your character make of the looming darkness? Will they choose to fight with their realm, or will they be swayed by the temptations of the dark Queen? Step into the realms of Fae Woods, and find out for yourself…

Fae Woods is currently accepting applications and will open for play on March 19th, 2012!

WHAT YOU ONCE WERE

f.a.q | rules | taken | held | apply

Once upon a time - for that is how all stories should begin - there was a little girl who no one loved. A little girl who grew into a very powerful woman. One who was raised in darkness with cruelty and bitterness her only companions. And when she was old enough, the woman bottled up all her bitterness and all of her hate, and she used it to cast a spell over all, stripping them of everything they ever knew and ripping them from their homes. And here they have fallen - a collection of misfits with no memory of who they once were. But there was one thing she forgot: love. Because of all things, the heart is the hardest to hide from. What will happen when those who were cast aside begin to remember?

Once Were is a panfandom RPG set in the fictional metropolis of New Panteon. The premise of the game is simple - your character has been ripped from their own universe and abandoned here in New Panteon with absolutely no memory of their home and those they once knew. The catch is that they have no idea they were ever anyone other than they are now. To these characters, they've lived their whole lives in New Panteon. They have jobs here, they've made friendships, they have homes.

What happens when they slowly begin to remember lives they never knew they had? What happens when they find out their neighbor was a vampire? Or the woman across the street used to be the love of their life? Based on the concept of ABC's new television series, "Once Upon a Time", Once Were explores what life could be like if fandom characters were thrown together and stripped of the memory of their old lives.
