Lily sighed. And they said girls were confusing. "You shouldn't want me to kiss you," she echoed before she stood up. She had to get inside before class. "Right, well, next time I feel the urge to kiss you, I'll go find someone else," she decided a little crossly.
It wasn't fair to be taking it out on him, she knew, but she was so confused about him, about everything, and there was no solid target in sight.
She ran her fingers through her hair. "I'm sorry," she murmured. "That's not fair of me, it's just..."
She shook her head. "I've got to get to class," she finally settled on. "I'll see you."
