"Then stop," she said with an edge of anger to her voice. "Walk away from them, Sev. You said it was too late before, but the longer you let them drag you down, the longer they spread their influence over you, the harder it's going to be. You can be good for me, Sev," she insisted. "But you need to walk away from them." She gazed at him, emerald eyes blazing intensely.
She knew it wouldn't stop his friends - it would probably only make it worse - but if she was going to be waging this war anyway, she'd rather Severus be on her side than against her.
There was no chance he could stand neutrally throughout it.
