He rose from his seat to approach her. He stood before her, lifting a hand to brush her hair back behind her shoulders. "I'd like an invitation this year," he said, a soft smirk curving his lips. It wasn't as though he wouldn't be invited, no, nothing like that ... but this year, he wanted to observe.
"And I'd like them to invite more than their usual sorts. Open it ... a little wider to the wizarding public," he continued. He cupped her chin briefly to gaze into her eyes. "Do you think they would?" he murmured before he dropped his hand.
Oh, he knew if he asked, they'd do it. But he wondered if they'd do it on their own with merely a dropped hint.
