He chuckled. Short of skipping down to get an owl or some such, Ded wasn't exactly the type to just have a friend hanging about. Still, he nodded.
"If I happen to have one about at the time, I surely will," he assured Arthur before nodding, "I'll see you about, then?"
He stepped forward to pay for his sweets, casting a sheepish grin in the attendant's direction when she looked pointedly at the quill he'd have finished. But he was paying for it, so what did it matter, really?
