Ded glanced to the stand again and decided on another quill, some wands and a package of beans. That would hold him. Well, for a while. He always needed more when he was nervous. Something about sweets was just comforting.
He followed after Arthur, for the most part lost in thought. These were, as mentioned, troubled times. The trouble - ha ha - for him was that he was standing idly by in a sweet shop sucking on a sugar quill instead of being out there combating it. Sure, he'd lent his wand when it had gotten closer to home, but usually it was after the fact; he was never in the right place at the right time.
"Maybe I'll come see you and the boys sometime soon," he offered after a few moments contemplation, "See how you're all holding up."
