He put a hand over his heart as if he were touched, "Why, Evans, that's so very kind of you."
He was kind of torn. This had been an almost civil conversation, though he supposed if he stuck around much longer, he might be pushing his luck. Then there was the fact that he really did have charms work to do and he wasn't getting any of it finished at this point. So he reluctantly gathered up his things, shoving them back into his bag.
"I suppose, even though it pains me so, I'll be on my way then. Try not to get engaged to anyone else between now and the next time I see you."
