Remus had to grin at that. He played along, acting ignorant. "I'm not sure. I thought you seemed pretty chummy with Severus Snape. Is he that last bloke?" Remus teased.
Not that Remus had no confidence in their friendship or anything silly like that. But Remus never could figure out why Sirius chose him for a friend. James made sense, he was popular like Sirius. Peter, well Peter worshipped the ground both of them walked on. Remus was just plain old boring Remus.
"Trying to get a bit of peace and quiet," Remus said matter-of-factly. "Although that seems to have vanished the moment you popped up." Remus packed his book into his bookbag, putting it away for good so he could pay attention to Sirius.
"So, what can I do for you?" Remus asked Sirius. As long as Sirius didn't have any crazy ideas, Remus was always game for it.
