Bella worked to soften her smile, ready to put her game face on, to play nice for the other children. She had no ill will toward her dear husband, oh no, but there were some things ... well, she had her preferences she supposed, and it was difficult to keep the smile from turning a different direction as she pondered that.
"Of course not," she simpered, "We were merely stopping for a brief chat here; I had the good fortune of running into these two just now. Do come and join us, won't you Rodolphus dear?"
Her gaze was imploring, and she spared both her sister and Lucius a glance as if they ought to encourage her husband to join them as well.
