Re: Mary, Xeno
"Mary," she supplied, barely refraining from rolling her eyes. She was still in the door of the compartment, his trunk blocking the way, and she wondered if he knew where he was going or if he even cared.
"You're Lovegood, right?" She recognized him enough to know that, but not much else. On impulse she indicated the compartment. "If you want, you're welcome to put your stuff in..." She indicated the compartment vaguely with a wave of her hand. "I was just going to go and-" The train whistled and there was a jerk as it started to move. By now everyone was probably getting settled and it would be rude to leave.
"Find the toilet," she finished. "But I'll be back." She moved off and headed for the loos at the rear of the car, taking time to wash her hands. She rather had hoped to run into Lily or one of her housemates, just to see how they had been during the summer. The thought of running into Mulciber or one of his friends though kept her from really wanting to explore, particularly now that the train was moving and most people were likely in their seats.
When she returned to the compartment, she thought perhaps that Lovegood would have already moved on, either that or recruited a small contingent of first years to keep them company.
