"Sorry," she said, and she sort of meant it. But mostly she was trying to keep on his good side - learning things not taught in class was always interesting to her.
What would she offer? "I've got some money saved up, if that's what drives you. Or I could do some of your duller essays for you." Though of the two, she'd rather simply pay. "Or I could try out a few of the things you'll be teaching me on people, so you can see if they work without taking the fall for them."
She imagined she'd put a stipulation or two on that. She wasn't going to go kill people or anything - but she wasn't against the idea of doing some harm.
