"Would I ever get into any trouble?" Sirius asked, pulling an innocent expression into place before shaking his head regretfully. "No, not really. It was a rather quiet week, really. Plotted a bit, but nothing serious."
Mostly they had laughed and made jokes. Sirius had keep a running conversation whenever he could, eager not to think about anything else. Or to consider the plans he had already started to sketch out if things turned even more sour at home.
"Mrs. Potter tried to cut my hair whenever I wasn't looking, though," he mused, tugging thoughtfully at a strand of it. "Seemed to be a bit horrified that it was longer than Prongs'."
At least it wasn't as messy. Sirius was always smugly pleased that his didn't go all over the place like his best mate's did.
Sirius considered for a moment what else to say, then shrugged and tugged another small grin into place.
