Re: Sirius, Remus
Remus tugged a bit ineffectually at the trunk. It only budged when Sirius came to help with the combined strength of both boys. Once that was done, Remus finally had a chance to rest. He sat at the seat opposite from Sirius so he could face him.
Remus knew well enough what Sirius was asking when he enquired after Remus' summer. He looked up and saw the hidden, loaded question in Sirius' eyes. Remus was once again touched by how much Sirius cared. He had always been brought up believing that he was responsible for his affliction. That was how other people who found out treated him. It really was quite a stroke of luck he found Sirius and James and Peter as friends.
Remus nodded when Sirius said James would be along. "I saw him with his parents at the platform, I think," he said to Sirius.
"As for my summer. It was uneventful as usual," he paused here to look at Sirius. "Apart from the full moons. But we managed okay. Dad locked me in the dungeons below our house like he used to." Remus shrugged, unwilling to stay on the topic further. He could always remember the pain, even if nothing else stayed in his memory.
Remus brightened up and tried to change the topic. Get away from such disheartening subjects. "How about your summer? Did you and James get into any trouble while you stayed over?"
