WHO: Ward, Lincoln(?), & Skye babies + The Playground WHAT: Kara didn't sign up for babysitting duty. Surprise, SHIELD. WHEN: Backdated to the start of the deage plot WHERE: The Playground RATING: TBD
Kara hadn't signed up for babysitting duty. It had taken some doing, getting back to the Playground with a handful of children in tow, but she'd managed it, dropping them there with a quiet threat that they had better call her when Grant was back to normal before leaving the same way she'd came. Ward had struggled with the situation since he'd ended up like this, but watching Kara leave after dropping him off in this odd, unnerving confined place had been perhaps the worst part of this entire thing. He didn't quite understand why. It was like it was there, just outside of the grasp of his mind, but he still felt the feeling seven if he couldn't put them into words. Sitting in the Playground, though, he wasn't struggling to put into words just how uneasy he was there, as if something bad was going to happen at any moment. Not that that was an unusual feeling for him. It was pretty much the one feeling he couldn't remember ever not feeling.
But at the same time, he usually knew why. Now? He was still grasping for the answer.
"I don't like it here," Ward said, speaking rather widely to the whole room. While Grant wasn't brave in the strictest sense, or any sense really, without anyone around to tell him not to speak up, he wasn't prone to holding his tongue. "I want to go home."
