When: May 27th, when info about the bombs was sent out Who: Tony and Pepper Where: Pepper's office, floor 78 of Avengers Tower Warnings: tbd but probably none to little
Tony tapped his foot impatiently in the private elevator taking him from his lab to the office floor shared by Pepper and himself. In actual time the ride didn't take long. Emotions, however, always skewed his human perspective of time. Today that skewing was unsettling by itself, not being the simple idea of time was too long when he felt bored or went too fast during fun events. Tony wanted to be in her office already, without needing to take the lift, but in some ways he didn't want to get there. Because the news which sent him there once again was something he couldn't control and had to react to in his duty as Iron Man, the protector and hero.
All he wanted to do was work in his lab, be the tinkerer and mechanic-genius. His life would never be so simple, would it?
He stepped out into the private hall and went into her office via her private door. If someone else happened to be in her office, too bad because this was more important. Though, in keeping with the act he wanted to perform, maybe he'd need to wait. After all, indicating to Pepper she needed to attend a business meeting in Rotterdam was much more low key than the real news.
Tony walked in, smiling like all was cool and normal. "Hi, honey," he said, seemingly light-hearted.
