Edwin took a deep breath and held it in as he tried to look Dylan in the eye and be calm about what she had said. "I mean... it happens," he said honestly, his voice cracking. He needed to stop thinking about how Georgie, and so many other people never came back. Oliver was coming back. Dylan said that people kept popping up. Oliver had to be coming back.
His gaze drifted to Oliver's door again, even as Dylan asked him a series of questions. His breath hitched again, and he gave the woman a squeeze back. "Can we leave?" he asked, accidentally cutting off the end of her sentence. "I'm sorry, I just need to get out of this room. I can't... I can't... You can ask me a million questions, all day if you want, I have five younger siblings so that's like nothing to me, I'd love that, but just, I can't be in this room right now. I can't do this." He was quickly on his feet, slipping out of Dylan's grasp as he started to pace a little. He was trying to at least be nice enough to wait for her.
