Owen shrugged. "It's just a feeling I have. If we are in the country, it's somewhere incredibly remote. The shit they're able to do... I don't know. I've kind of learned to go with my gut on certain things here. I could be wrong, of course, and I probably am. I doubt we'll ever find out though." His lips twitched into a brief, sardonic smile. Yes, he remembered those surveys. They hadn't bothered him personally but he'd hated some of the shit people said about Cecilia. Thinking about her made his chest sting a little so Owen pushed through it and refocused. "You're right though. We know each other too well. Most of us, anyway. Definitely the ones who have been here almost since the beginning. I'm sure there's a reason behind asking us personal stuff. But this is probably phase two or three or whatever. Throw us into different environments and up the stakes. The lodge, the monsters... it's like our own horror movie."
