"Whatever we get, we get. Whatever we don't, we don't," Chase shrugged, then nodded. "It's kind of the only thing we can do." Though, a second later the full implications of what Kiley had said dawned on him and he grimaced. "That's....ew." He didn't want to say that he wouldn't put it past them, but he sure as hell wouldn't.
"Let's just...uh....get what we can." And try not to think of which kind of bug he wouldn't want in his room the most. Crickets, maybe? Stink bugs were slow at least, from what he could remember. He found his gaze moving back to the bush that he was trying to convince himself wasn't actually poison ivy so he could go hunting again, not wanting that to be the cricket that woke up on his face or something. "Maybe it's something like....whatever we catch we can keep as bait, or....something. I dunno." That was more reasonable, right? Maybe? Or, at least, it was just as plausible. "Maybe we shouldn't give them ideas." He decided on after a few seconds, though he highly doubted they were discussing anything that hadn't already been thought of before.
He felt himself making another grabby gesture with his fingers for the cigarette, happy to see that it was on offer anyway and took it, stuffing it between his lips to try and keep him from chattering anymore than he already had, as if he wasn't well-practiced in talking around it.
