Oliver couldn't help but chuckle, but it did little to dissipate the unease actually seeing the mark had caused. Nothing felt imminent, or like it would develop into an anxiety attack, but the panic that usually called it felt more as if it were lapping at his toes rather than trying to submerge him. He could ignore that for now, though it made him feel even worse for not being of more use to Marco earlier.
"Yeah, let's do that," he replied, giving Edwin a kiss. The distraction would help, and Edwin was certainly trying, and he loved him for it. And it helped that Edwin was right. He wasn't the first person who'd been marked, and he likely wouldn't be the last. Maybe it wouldn't end up being so bad.
