Scotty only raised an eyebrow at Chase at his explanation, leaving the comment that lots of foods were specifically made pocket-sized unsaid. He grinned as Jack mimicked Chase and Kiley's whole deal, oblivious to the man's actual feelings, and whatever was happening with Marco and Oliver. He had a feeling he kind of understood how Jack was feeling just from experience, but the smile was convincing enough that Scotty went with it without question. He reached a hand out for Jack to help him get up, and the whole act of getting up on his feet made him aware of just how sore he actually was. He even leaned on Jack once he was up, something that he probably wouldn't have done normally just in case it made him look weak. At the moment, though, he was weak, so he'd have to accept the help. "It's cool, bro. Next time. You and me can find something else to kick their ass at later. Yo, you wanna get some fucking sodas? Carbonation sounds fucking good right now."
Marco bristled when Oliver shifted to tuck more into him, moving his hands off his ears just so he could push away from his friend again to move back to a level of physical contact that was on his own terms, maybe a little more violently than he'd intended. He wanted to yell at everyone, because there were monsters out there, something that shouldn't exist, and they were talking about snacks?! But even then, he couldn't just focus on that while his mind raced. He hid his face under his arms again, trying to muffle the sobs that he couldn't choke back any longer. Fuck, he should have tried harder to leave when he still felt this coming on. He needed to breathe. He needed to calm down. He wasn't actually sure that he could do either.
