Scotty couldn't help but snort at Chase's response. "Why would a giant fruit roll up be your go-to?" he wondered, and for a moment it kind of made him want to bug the guy more, because that was a weird thing to say, so what else was going to pop out of this guy's mouth? But then Jack was there, and that was more fun, even though the guy looked like he had the first time people had been grabbed by monsters. Turns out that maybe being taken by monsters was easier than being the survivor. "Jackiiieeee," he cheered softly. "Bro I can get up whenever I want, check this shit." He moved back onto his elbows, and grunted as he moved to bend his knees, getting those up but not in a position to be able to actually stand. "Impressed yet?" he joked. Then, "For real, though? Yeah we gotta get the fuck up."
Marco wasn't really sure if Kiley was replying to him over the monster thing with the Dr. Frankenstein comment, or if he should even be trying to respond to the couple's conversation at this point, especially with Scotty's intrusions being clearly unwelcome. Jack's appearance was unexpected, but he could feel the guy coming through the vibrations in the floorboards, and he gasped and tensed as the new figure appeared in the doorway. Even knowing that it was Jack he found that he still couldn't make himself relax, and shit, his chest hurt, and despite his eyes being closed he knew that tears had started. Not now, not now, he thought to himself, still hoping that maybe other people would leave before he broke down, but that didn't seem to be working out for him...
