"Hey," Oliver groused as Chase's knee shoved against his ribs, not quite into them, but close enough that a little warning was probably helpful for both of them. The last thing he wanted was to try and explain to Edwin that he'd been bruised after waking up rather than handwaving potential injuries from the night before to get him to not worry. He wasn't actually sure if he'd already done that once already that morning.
"I was in the house. I mean, we were in the house. We fell asleep downstairs," Chase replied, leaning back to scan over every inch of her that he could see. If she was here there had to be a mark, right? Those things had gotten her. Fuck, they'd gotten her.
"What?" He found himself asking a little distractedly at the question of Tobias and Lennon. She was the one who had actually gone missing. "Yeah, I think so. I left them with Pam. Are you okay? Are you hurt? What happened? We came back looking for you," he rambled, not really sure if leaving them with Pam really equated to any sort of safety, then paused for a second before adding quickly. "I mean, we were looking for everybody." But mostly you, was the unspoken implication that probably didn't need to be spelled out for anyone there.
