The initial moments of what would eventually become known as Tasiya's New Normal had been spent in a daze, where the half of her mind that succumbed to confusion and panic had given way to the half of it that went through the motions required for survival. She was still halfway into that daze when she managed to drag her feet through the door without paying attention to it properly. Mostly because her legs felt like jello and gave in just beyond the threshold.
Tasiya greeted the great beyond with her chin dragging across the floor an inch or two and for some reason she wondered whether her ass was poking out of the hospital gown or not instead of assessing her own state of being after dropping like a sack of potatoes on some unknown floor in some unknown place. Another door opened to her right, and Tasiya, who hadn't bothered to stand up because why would she, moved to look at it. She didn't bother speaking, though. Anything she said would probably be useless anyway.
