It probably should have been more alarming than it was that Scotty had no idea how he got to wherever he was. Instead, all he could think of was how many times he'd gotten black-out drunk recently. All the times he'd had concussions from doing something crazy. All those football statistics about head trauma from tackling. Maybe this was for one of those things. It wouldn't surprise him.
With how much of a fog he was in from the sedatives, it never really clicked how much the room looked like something he might want to live in if he knew how to decorate. He had forced himself up, and his brain seemed to move at the same speed as his legs, and all he could think was I like this room as he tried to look for a call button for a nurse. When he couldn't find one, he slid out of the bed, attempting to drag the IV thing with him, but when he found himself tethered he lazily tugged the thing out of his arm. He didn't really register that he did it poorly enough to make himself bleed, as his attention went to the box at the end of the bed. He paused long enough just to pull on his pants before wandering out the door to find the nurses in this weird, fancy hospital. Did insurance pay for this?
First he had to go through a fancy lounge, though. It hadn't been that long since he had been in a hospital, and he couldn't remember any lounge looking like this.
As he first wandered out of the lounge, his attention fell on the two girls further down the hall. One of them was still in a hospital gown, which he partially was, so that was a good sign. The other girl… a visitor, maybe? She looked about his age, though, so maybe this was from some sort of party gone wrong situation? Hospital gown chick looked older, but Scotty couldn't tell by how much. Black don't crack was the saying, right? Maybe she was a senior. "Hey, yo!" he called down the hall, taking a step towards them, reaching towards the railing as he moved. He looked over the railing once, then to the girls, then back over the railing when it clicked that there was still no sign of doctors or nurses or anything. He let out a little laugh, then pointed his thumb towards the foyer while he looked back at the two chicks.
"Oh snap, wait, were we at one of those weird mystery costume parties?" he asked, grinning lazily. "I don't remember any of it; it must have been wild."
