"It's probably a trap," Chase concluded after a second of peering over Owen's shoulder. "I don't see ours, and if we know Pam is headed northwest then they aren't going to be the ones there. It could be supplies or....maybe it's showing shelter, but I don't think it's worth it."
He paused one last time, then moved, heading for Pam's note and searching the drawer for the markers people had offered up for house use, signing the three of their names to it. "We can't tell who's been here from the phones...so...." He doubted he needed to explain the rest, pocketing one of the markers just in case they needed it and filling his water bottle before standing, ready to go. "So, northeast. Maybe they're not that far." He hoped. He didn't know if a bigger group was really safer, but he'd be glad to see the others. Hopefully Kiley would find them soon too.
