Tobias followed, clutching the second torch. He could always use it as a weapon if he absolutely had to. It was easy to tell himself he would defend himself and his friends, even if deep down he was terrified he would just drop everything and run. But he had Chase, who was smart, and Owen, who was strong. So maybe things would be okay.
A soft sigh of relief escaped him when the torch was ablaze and it made him feel significantly better, especially seeing as how those monsters didn't seem to like fire.
As much as he hated this entire experience, he was silently grateful for finding Chase, of all people. The kid knew how to use his brain. "Let's go," Owen said, heading for the path. "Chase, I'll help you grab stuff from the molotovs and the torches. Tobias, if you can grab some food... " This was all assuming they couldn't stay at the lodge.
