Kiley was going to counter that his weapon probably wouldn't do anything to really deter one of those creatures but it seemed insignificant in the grand scheme of things. She just didn't want to be inside somewhere where they could get stuck or cornered. If the windows had been in place and got stuck, who knew what would have happened to them. They were lucky they hadn't had to drop very far to the ground from the kitchen.
She honestly had no idea whose phones she grabbed. It had been dark inside and she figured people would understand the situation. Kiley had been reaching back to pull out the other phone to try and figure out who it belonged to but then Scotty had her arm again and she quickly saw why.
"I am running," she snapped, already breathless as she tried to speed up so he wouldn't have to drag her along. Her feet ached in her damn shoes and if she didn't get monster eaten tonight, she would probably have blisters on them tomorrow. "Where are... we running to?" They could try to lose the thing but she wasn't sure how to do that.
