Pam didn't recognize the slip up at all. She hadn't been out there the night before, though she'd ended up in the living room some time after to try to assess what had happened, but enough had happened that she didn't really register some of the details, and enough was happening now that it was easier to just go along with things. "Do you have a lighter or matches for those?" she asked. "Because I think it's a good idea, but I only have a phone flashlight, so like, that's not gonna work. There might be a lighter in one of the drawers..." She probably should have helped him look, but he was right about the foot and water thing, and she pulled her bag open again as she moved to throw a handful of water bottles and a tupperware full of some sort of leftovers in with her stuff. She wondered if she shouldn't take more than two water bottles, knowing that they were the first two there, but there was still the possibility that they wouldn't get used, so better to just have them.
"I've got stuff for you too," she declared as she threw another tupperware of leftovers into the bag, making sure they were situated the right way and that the lids wouldn't pop off before she zipped it up and pulled her bag on again. She stayed quiet As she closed the fridge and picked up the crossbow again. "I thought these things were supposed to scream a bunch to let you know they're around," she whispered.
