It took almost all of his self control to retort that, no, he wasn't fucking kidding her, but taking that as the rhetorical statement as it was he crouched quickly to shove Chlem into his bag, now that he had a second pair of eyes looking around. Even if she saw the thing first he was certain he could outrun her if it came down to it.
"There were tentacles in my fucking room, so unless-" he grunted as he cut himself off, though it was difficult to do. The last thing he needed to do was make some sort of "new mutant Hathaway roommate" or "Marco's new bff" quip in present company, but hell if he didn't want to.
"No phone," he decided after tempering himself a little. "It wasn't in my room either."
