Ettie half-choked when she realized that the laugh she was about to let out might have been loud enough to echo even in the clothing-filled room, and she clamped her hand over her mouth for added security. As Scotty looked around, so did she, holding her breath so that any noise that wasn't them would be heard. And for a few seconds, even after his "oops", there was the tiniest part of her that thought, maybe, someone would come.
She was still grinning when she finally relaxed, following after him and looking up at the sign when he pointed it out. "How does a cosignment shop even work in a place like this?" She tucked the ascot into her coat pocket before starting up the stairs first, pausing slightly a heartbeat later only long enough to make sure he was following so she wouldn't be up there alone. "I mean, don't you have to-woah, yes! There's actual clothes up here!" Her delighted exclamation was paired with the shuffling of her boots across the floor as she headed towards the first rack. She offhandedly supposed that the ones downstairs were technically clothes too, and maybe someone might actually want those, but it was a relief to see that they weren't limited to those.
She pulled appeared to be a novelty basketball jersey from the first rack, inspecting the tag as if it were a bug under a microscope. "What size are you?" She looked up, laughing sheepishly. "Not that you'd want this, but for stuff, you know? We can throw stuff at each other that looks cool."
