"They do, but if you do it in the morning, it's still gone for the whole day. So that ain't so bad." Scotty considered going back and smashing that camera, just because it was the one Ettie commented on. He missed out on a hero moment, there.
But then, apparently, they were there, which was great. "Thank God, my poor ass was starting to freeze," he said, waving for her to follow as he started towards the door. He wondered after if he should have checked the windows first, too, in case it was some sort of trap, but at that point he was already pulling the door open. "Oh snap, maybe. Well, we'll grab extra hats and gloves. Everyone got jackets, so they can come down for a different one themselves, if they want. Assuming they have jackets here... This looks more like a sweater place," he decided as he moved out of the doorway, letting Ettie in too.
At least the store looked clean, even if all the clothes, at least on the first floor, looked like hand-me-downs from the fifties. Scotty didn't want to complain, because they all needed more than one change of clothes, but everything just screamed This will be itchy on your skin. He sucked on his teeth, moving slowly into one of the first aisles with men's clothes, then picked up a sweater vest, holding it up for Ettie to see. "Oh good, for the country club."
