"All the fucking was clearly reconnaissance," Felix replied matter-of-factly before the grin returned, starting to lead the way down the riverbank, close enough that Lennon could keep a hand on him if he needed more stability while moving. Even if they were a little more out in the open if someone decided to do the same thing, Lennon would probably have an easier time with it. He told himself that just meant getting to the mill faster and with less drama rather than being helpful, or concerned Lennon would end up flat on his face with any attempt through the woods.
"You guys got to keep the stuff from last time, right? I won't say no to more clothes, but this shit is not sexy." Potentially useful if he needed to hide out in the middle of nowhere for whatever reason, or needed to use the material to hide something else, he supposed. "Maybe we ca-" he started before a unnatural structure through the trees, just off the bank ahead of them caught his gaze, and he pointed just in case the goggles obscured Lennon's vision more than he'd thought.
