Actually she'd never heard of Charlie Chaplin before, but she decided not to mention that. There was so much weird to her backstory that she felt like she needed to ease into it whenever she was talking to someone new. "I'm okay with whatever you're watching. We don't get regular TV stations here, right?"
She couldn't imagine how that would work if they did. She'd figured out that the smartphones they had didn't get the internet or anything else that would connect them to the outside world. She didn't have any real experience using the internet so it wouldn't really matter to her, anyway.
