Who: Edwin & Chase
When: A little after 10am
Where: Just out and about
Edwin had collected all of his Dungeons & Dragons books into the backpack that he'd been provided, and for a moment he wished he still had the minis to bring along, though it made absolutely zero sense to carry them outside just to talk about campaign ideas. Inspiration could come from anywhere, including his collection of minis that were still at the mansion. But they could come from a chill day with a nerdy friend, too. At least, that was what he was hoping for.
He couldn't help but feel a little bad that he'd kept Chase, and a handful of other people, waiting so long to do this little campaign. It had been easier to remain indecisive on the whole thing back at the mansion, where there were so many distractions, good and bad. Here, though? Yeah, they had distractions, but rarely were they fun, aside from his recent outing with Oliver, and even that ended on a somewhat sour note. Being stuck in a cabin in the woods with little else to do, it seemed like the right time to get his shit together, and he was thankful that Chase had asked about it. When Chase asked about it, Edwin couldn't get distracted by making out with him moments later. So progress might actually happen. Plus, Chase had played D&D before, so Edwin didn't feel the pressure to hide fun ideas from him like he did with Oliver. If this was Oliver's first time, he wanted him to actually be surprised by things. Chase knew how the game worked, had memories of his other campaigns, and wasn't at risk of being turned off by a game that wasn't up to Edwin's standards.
Bag packed, he took a moment to roll a joint to bring along, just because he knew that Chase smoked sometimes, and he and Oliver still had so much damn weed that even if they didn't share the joint while they chatted, he'd probably still give it to Chase as a thanks for the help. He tucked it behind his ear, for a moment feeling very much like he had back when his friend Ray had gotten him started with the game, before taking another few minutes to drape himself over Oliver and demand that his boyfriend have fun while he was gone. Then he headed out, stopping at the soda machine for a Coke in exchange for a very bad cartwheel, before heading over to the lodge's porch and hoping that Chase hadn't been there to see the display of athletics.
