Who: Oliver, Edwin, & Marco When: Evening Where: Oliver & Edwin's room
The trip back from rescuing Marco, while not being as long as the hike out to get Lennon, had been miserable. They had needed to stop moving to be able to get Marco out of the mud pit, but they probably shouldn't have taken that little break right after. Getting moving again was hard, and by the last mile, with wet clothes and tired legs and blisters on his feet that he couldn't ignore anymore, Edwin felt sure that he would be incapable of walking tomorrow. He just wasn't used to doing this much walking, or running. He usually stopped several miles before what he'd totaled out at today.
They'd made it back without further incident, at least, and after a detour to the kitchen to grab some water and a snack, Edwin told Marco to go shower, then come join him and Oliver in the barn. The guy had seemed a little distant, and twitchy, and while he had explained it away as a missed dose of his anticonvulsant and the after effects of a panic attack, Edwin had still insisted that he come stay there with them, figuring that both Marco and Oliver could benefit from each other's company.
He ducked into his room long enough to grab a change of clothes and a towel and to see that Oliver was sleeping, as he expected that he would be, then he ran off to take his own well deserved shower. It wasn't long, but it was amazing, and while he for sure missed the luxury of a giant tub that he and Oliver could both fit in, this easily made his list of top ten best showers. Then he headed back up to his room, glad to find Marco already waiting there, finally mud-free, and looking about as tired as he felt. Together they headed into the room, where Edwin easily fell into place in his usual spot next to, and partially on top of Oliver, pausing only to apologize when Oliver briefly startled. Marco seemed less sure, originally moving to make a spot for himself on the floor, but moving to the bed when instructed by Oliver. Both were asleep shortly after, and stayed that way for a while.
When Edwin blinked awake again he rolled over to check his phone, and was surprised to see that it was almost 6 already. He probably could have rolled back over, but he probably needed to do something about food, and he carefully untangled himself from Oliver, planning to head to the kitchen and bring back food for all three of them, but as his feet hit the ground he had to pause when he realized how much effort it would take to pull himself up onto his aching legs. He glanced around the room, trying to work up the will to stand, and it came with realizing that at some point, Oliver had brought out some advil. He definitely would be taking advantage of that. With a groan that was louder than intended, he pushed up off the bed, then waddled over to the bottle of pills, trying not to make little ouchy noises with each step.
