Whether Lennon realized it or not, he'd managed to find the right thing to say to Marco that would make him relax on the whole mind control idea. He considered for a moment, then nodded. "That makes sense. One of my meds I took when I was younger made me do that. Wander, I mean. I wasn't sleeping, but, um... Yeah. Okay. That's smart." So that was one less thing to worry about, kind of. They'd still used it to walk Lennon into a river, and him into a bog. Where had everyone else ended up, he wondered.
"You look weird in Oliver's clothes," he threw in, trying to talk if just to keep from struggling again. "It's cool you weren't walking around in your underwear though. That sounds cold. I'm fucking cold. Is it always cold places?"
"He'd actually probably love to teach you if you wanted to," Edwin told Ivy. He paused to groan again as he bent over to grab one end of the branch, dragging the rest behind as he followed her. "I think it might just be Scotty who's been doing it other than him, and he's got it down, so... My boy likes teaching." He laughed a little, and shrugged. God, he couldn't wait to get back to Oliver.
He dragged the branch over to the side of the mud, carefully trying to line it up with Marco and where his legs would be. "Hey, Lennon? Can you grab the rope from Ivy's bag and try to throw one end of it out to Marco?" he asked as he started to turn the log around, so Marco could have the thicker, sturdier part to step on first. If it cracked when Marco was closer to them, it wasn't as big of a deal. They could grab him if he was closer. He paused when he actually looked at Lennon, and did a bad job at stifling a laugh. "Ooh, you sat down too, huh? Yeah, getting up's a bitch, and I'm sorry."
He started to push the log towards Marco, pausing when Marco started reaching for it. "Hey Marco? We need to get this log under your feet, okay? If you want to help us, you can line it up to where you need it, and then I'm going to pull it back and push it under the mud. Can you do that?"
Marco shrugged, but did what was asked of him, and Edwin pulled the log back, then tilted it so he could shove the log into the mud at an angle. He put his whole body "You want to hold the ramp steady, or help Lennon pull?" he asked Ivy.
