Again Marco shook his head, and he waved a hand, trying to dismiss her guilt. "You did what you said you would. You don't have to be sorry. You didn't want this. And you came back, which is already really cool." This time he did manage a small, wet laugh.
He thought for a moment, trying to decide if there was a way for her to prove she was real. His hallucinations were generally mostly auditory, and those were in full force, but usually if he was going to hallucinate, it was small, pointless things, not full people. And while if he was going to hallucinate a person they would probably be carrying an ax, he knew that he hadn't seen the octopus that day, and that was usually his sign that he was getting bad. He had a feeling that he'd see it later, what with the missed medication, but for now, maybe he was okay.
"You could get me out?" he suggested, putting his hands up in the air to show off how stuck he still was. "Only a real person could do that."
