He had a point about the thumbs. Maybe if she was a centaur then. But Ivy was getting distracted by that thought so she refocused on Marco and gave him two thumbs up. "I'll double check for the pills. Just hang tight... obviously." Ivy began to hurry off in the direction that she had come, lifting both arms into the air, giving him another round of thumbs up. "No carrots! Now if I see apples, you're shit out of luck. I'll be back," she yelled over her shoulder.
Ivy did run, though she tried to pace herself as not to get a stitch in her side that would slow her down. Occasionally she had to stop to walk a bit but tried to keep a steady pace. It was while she was catching her breath that she checked her phone to see Oliver had responded. Ax. Ropes? She was already tired and the thought of having to chop down trees, or at least parts of trees, made her want to sit down and just stay there for a while. But she couldn't leave Marco in the predicament he was in, so Ivy continued on her way. She probably wouldn't be giving any massages for a while. At least not until her hands felt better.
It took her a while, but after arriving at the lodge she did a quick search for Marco's pills and soon realized with some regret that he probably had them in his pocket. After checking one more time, she checked her phone to see Edwin's message for her. Shoes, water, snacks. Rubbing her forehead, Ivy exhaled and then tried to move as quickly as she could, finding a bag, the shoes and then heading to the kitchen to fill a couple of water bottles with water for the other three. She took a long drink for herself and then grabbed some of the cold chicken cutlets, hoping Jack wouldn't mind.
With the bag strap settled across her body, she left the lodge to grab the ax and rope. Maybe by the time she got back, Lennon and Edwin would be there. If not, well, she would try to invoke the spirit of Paul Bunyan. It was nearly an hour to walk back, and Ivy's muscles were aching when she found the lake where Marco was stuck again. No Edwin or Lennon yet. Ivy set the rope and ax down to pull the bag from her shoulder so she could set it down. Then she offered Marco an apologetic smile. "No pills... I'm sorry. But Oliver gave me an idea to uh... chop some trees and make a ramp? We'll get the rope around you and the ramp will give you something to walk on, I think, when we pull with the rope. Edwin and Lennon should be here any minute, I hope. Are you okay?"
