Chase knew that staring at the screen to wait for a reply wasn't really helping anyone, so Tobias reminding him that they had another super important person to check in with definitely helped. He scrolled through the other network posts and comments, nodding. "Edwin found him. It looks like they're going to help Ivy get Marco. Apparently he's stuck in mud and she's having a hard time getting him out."
He paused, arching a brow then laughing, turning the phone to show Tobias that Oliver had already taken a break to reply to that too. "He's been stuck on a ladder all morning, he's had the phone for five minutes and already he's ordering people around. I'm gonna message Lennon. Do you want me to relay stuff?"
In the meantime, after sliding a few more things into the back, Oliver was coming to the conclusion that he was probably about done with raiding the tower for now. He stared at the Smokey the Bear cutout for a couple heartbeats, feeling oddly bad for leaving the old guy behind. "We'll get you next time," he promised with a small smile.
He didn't know how he'd missed the case before, but now that he was really looking at the area around the cutout it was hard to miss. At first he thought it was some sort of briefcase, but tugging it out revealed a guitar case instead. He settled it down on the floor and clicked it open with care. "Well, hello there, gorgeous," he murmured to the acoustic guitar inside, moving some of the sheet music that was shoved within aside to get a good look at it. He gently plucked at it, and something about it felt right. And damn if it wouldn't look good in the bedroom, which, he reminded himself, he shared with an actual musician. So, maybe this wouldn't be his, but it might be fun to learn. As he moved to lift one end of the guitar out, his eyes caught on something else in the case, and he scoffed as he eyed the large bag of weed stashed in there too.
Yeah, this was definitely going in their room.
One last glance around the room after everything was secured back in the case and Oliver decided he was done. He shot one last glance at the phone, and decided for a second time not to destroy it as much as he was tempted. Trying to get both the pack and the strap of the guitar case to share his shoulders took a minute, and damn if it wasn't heavy altogether, but a few seconds later he was starting to descend the ladder again with everything.
