"I...." Oliver started, frowning, then shook his head. "I was followin' somethin'. I don't remember...."
"You need to come down," Chase told him, shifting uncomfortably on his feet, but stopping when Oliver looked down at the two of them, then up the ladder again.
"If I come down, the second I sit I'm probably not gettin' up for a while. I'm sure as hell not gettin' back up here." He stopped, breathed for a few seconds, then shifted a little, testing his muscles. He reached for the rung above him, and while it hurt, he was pretty he could climb. Once he took an actual break, probably not. "I'm gonna go up and take a look around. I might be here for a reason. There could be somethin' up there we need, and I'm not makin' either of you do this. I'm already this far up, it ain't that much more."
