Who: Pam, Owen, and later Jack When: Probably closer to 9:30 Where: Headed out to M36
It was weird how normal this felt. Pam was in the woods, with a friend who had disappeared a couple weeks ago, to find a friend who had disappeared this morning, and all of it just felt so... weirdly normal. Sure, she was scared for her friends. Maybe what they suspected had happened to Jerome would happen again. She didn't know, and that was scary. But it was still another early morning search to find the people who had been trapped somewhere. This type of panic wasn't wanted, but it was familiar. Like the stress of getting stuck in traffic on your way to work.
It was nice having Owen back, though. She hadn't really gotten the chance to talk to him the day before, and while this was primarily a rescue mission, it still was a chance to get to catch up with the guy. Even if he had nothing to catch anyone up on.
"Oh! Did you get to meet our new cat yesterday?" she asked as they walked. She had no idea how much Oliver had told him the day before, but she was trying to make sure that he knew any major events. Just in case. But in a conversational way. "We named him Bilbo, I think officially now, and he's a sweetheart, but he sheds a lot, so look out for that." Only the most important of news.
She glanced down at the GPS on her phone, despite knowing that they were coming up on the river. She'd packed her bag with finding someone in mind, but she hadn't thought to bring a change of clothes for herself. Oh well. She could hold her socks and shoes over her head or something. "We really need to make building bridges a priority."
