"I'm just sayin', if people get at me, it's all just self defense, yo," Scotty reiterated, still trying his best to stay tough and not get emotional. When Oliver clapped a hand on his shoulder he cleared his throat again, blinking furiously as he choked back his emotions. He wondered if he'd get the chance to talk to him, even just on the network. His dad would be horrified to find him hear, but wouldn't it still be great to talk to each other again?
Oliver had asked a question somewhere in there, and Scotty found himself shaking his head before he could have come to any real conclusion on that. "Yo, I don't know," he said after a moment. "I don't even know what I can do. This shit's fucking crazy, yo." He sniffled. It sure seemed like he was about to lose this fight to keep from cracking. "I know this is gonna turn into a thing but I want this to be true so bad, and I guess you can tell me when it's okay to talk to this Lola chick. Fuck, bro, could you just fucking... not look at me for a sec."
