"I know, kid," Oliver replied, his tone mellowing a little, resigned that this was probably just how it was going to be until something new happened. "I hope he is, for your sake. Just...before things really get goin', there's a couple things. One, I'm sure you've got questions for Lila, but remember that she just got here and she's got a lot to process. It didn't seem like she got a lot out of your dad when they were together, I guess he was out most of the time, but give her a little space for right now until she can get sorted."
He inhaled deeply, then exhaled slowly, knowing that this was probably the touchiest part of the whole thing. "Two, it's important to remember that your dad is a sore subject for a lot of people here. Our experiences with him were a lot different than yours were, and some of them are gonna need a chance to process it too. With that in mind, I'd like to get the word out just so people are in the know, startin' with those who were here before. I don't think it's fair for this to be somethin' that gets passed along at random through the grapevine. I just wanted to make sure you knew first, and that you were okay."
