Oliver nodded when Scotty did, like they were coming to some sort of unspoken agreement that neither of them really knew about, swallowing before he continued. "When they got Lila out of the box, they immediately brought her to the lodge. One of the group let me know they'd be on their way, and I was waitin' for 'em when they showed up. When we were gettin' Lila settled, we started talkin' to her about some of the big things she missed while she was gone. Mostly about what's been goin' on the past week because that's the most relevant....but also some of the things from before. When we got to the part about what happened with your dad...."
Oliver's voice cracked, and he could feel that familiar clench again, but it was mostly at the memory of the panic attack that had ensued. It took him a second to compose himself again, but he continued on. "She said we were wrong that your dad died from his wounds. That she'd been with him for weeks. He'd been in a coma for most of it and They ordered her to take care of him."
