The idea of spending more time away from the room than was necessary didn't really sit well with Oliver, and he tried not to look or sound weary as he processed the idea of a few heartbeats. Edwin probably needed something to focus on, to be productive with. And if he was in the kitchen there would at least be two other people keeping him company.
"That sounds good, baby," he decided, leaning down for the kiss and offering a small smile. "I'm sure it'll be as good as it can be. He's a good kid, and...this'll be good news for him. It'll probably just be rough on him that he can't actually do anything with the information now that he's got it." A little reluctantly, he shifted one hand to reach for his phone, knowing it was better to get it done sooner rather than later.
