That earned a small snort of laughter. "I though we could maybe break the new bed in," Edwin said softly as he leaned into the nuzzling. "Now it seems silly."
He closed his eyes again, choosing to just enjoy a moment of quiet while being wrapped around his partner. With the woods around them and the light rain still pattering off the leaves, things felt weirdly serene given the situation, and on another day, this could have been a really nice moment in a really nice walk. Edwin hoped that one day, he and Oliver could have these moments without the nightmare of this place looming over them. "One day, we're going to have to really walk around this place. Maybe we can find a hidden bungalow, and we can go live there and be naked and happy and not tell anyone about it," he imagined, his tone as playful as he could manage. He knew Oliver wouldn't feel comfortable being away from everybody when they might need help, but that didn't matter in this bungalow fantasy.
