After a quick, but complete wardrobe change, Edwin returned to Oliver wearing one of his band T-shirts and a pair of jeans, which he was much more comfortable with hiking in the rain in. He wanted to get back to Oliver quickly, and while he was of course curious about what had triggered Oliver's panic attack, his need to be with Oliver still came from just needing to be with Oliver. He didn't like that he had been somewhere else when Oliver was feeling unsteady, even if he'd had the best of intentions. Of course they wouldn't be together every minute of the day, but he'd still missed the minute that was important.
So even though Oliver had collected a couple loads of wood while he was waiting, Edwin had still done his best to change quickly, only stalling to try to remember if he had anything for the rain. It wasn't raining enough to be unpleasant, though. This was probably still fine. Refreshing, even.
He easily slid into his boyfriend's grasp, and he wrapped his own arm around Oliver's back, hooking a finger in Oliver's belt loop like it would help them stay closer. "I didn't know if I should bring a backpack, but I figured we were just going on a walk and not a hike, so I left it upstairs," he explained. He took a moment to lean in for a kiss, then offered his man a smile. "I can run back up real quick if we need, though. How are you doing?"
