Edwin knew that they had stuff they needed to talk about, but he really didn't want to part from Oliver while he was still looking so down, either. He let Oliver make the first move, and when he turned back from the kitchen, Edwin gently took Oliver's face in his hands again. He dragged his thumbs under his boyfriend's eyes, wiping any moisture that might have ended up there in a moment of panic, then pulled him close, giving him another tender kiss, then tilted his head down to kiss his forehead. "C'mon. You'll go put some cold water on your face, and I'll go change. We'll figure out the rest as we go, okay?"
He lowered his hand so he could quickly find Oliver's, then pulled him along to the door.
